Velva American Legion Post 39 will host a dignified flag disposal ceremony on November 11, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The ceremony will take place in the Bechtold parking lot, across the street from American Legion Post 39.
The ceremony offers a respectful way to dispose of worn and unserviceable American flags while honoring the flag, veterans, and the values it represents.
Hot cocoa and bars will be served after the ceremony. A free-will donation will be accepted.
